It can be said that there is at least one thing that Paul Mengert believes in strongly and that is that appreciation for what others do is very important to business success. In addition, the ability and willingness to give back to the community is quite possibly the most important thing any human being can do. That is actually the primary motivation behind his creation of Association Management Group (AMG) in the first place.
Paul Mengert, AMG’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), started the firm way back in 1984. He decided to do so in his hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina because he felt a duty to the town that had given him so much. He still feels that way. He has gotten a lot from Greensboro, including a first class education. Paul majored in Political Science and Communications at the University of North Carolina. Soon after that, in 1990, Paul Mengert earned a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) certification and he graduated from Harvard Business School in 2005. But even when he graduated from Harvard, he was compelled to come back home.
To Paul Mengert, AMG is just part of his life. He serves as President of the Carolinas Chapter of the Community Associations Institute, where he teaches classes that benefit those who work in homeowners’ associations because they have been approved as continuing education credits by a number of groups, including the South Carolina Department of Real Estate, the North Carolina Board of Realtors and even the California Department of Real Estate, among others. Organizations trust the information that Paul imparts in these classes due to his extensive experience in the real estate industry and the reputation he has developed as a highly successful association management specialist.
